The Opp-Guide is seeking volunteers to help us serve our community for GYSD. Youth simply need to perform community service on that day, complete one of our reviews (which is available on our website: www.opp-guide.com), and submit their reviews to us. We will then provide an additional one hour of service credit to each student completing and submitting their review.
(PRWEB) November 20, 2008 -- Calling all South Florida Students. Make a Difference in your community by participating in Global Youth Services Day which is being held on January 19, 2009.
The Opp-Guide to Community Service, Inc. (www.opp-guide.com) in Conjunction with Youth Services of America will be participating in Global Youth Services Day ("GYSD") the largest service event in the world.
The Opp-Guide to Community Service, a nonprofit created and led by teens for teens is an on-line volunteer guide (www.opp-guide.com) that currently serves the tri-county South Florida community. We provide reviews of various community service organizations in the tri county area by having students write reviews of their volunteer experience so that other youth become educated and empowered to learn what service opportunities are available in a candid, witty, and interesting medium.
Written specifically by teens for teens, the student reviews are honest, occasionally funny, and help fill the missing link between actually enjoying volunteering and only serving to fulfill the "dreaded" high school service requirement. The Opp-Guide was created to make those "required" service hours more meaningful to students so that they continue serving their communities long after the service requirement is fulfilled.
Any Broward, Miami Dade, or Palm Beach County Students or schools that are interested in participating in this event may contact Wendi Oppenheim, President of the Opp-Guide.

Thank you,
Sincerely
