Sport Court is the official surface of NCAA Women's Volleyball, will be featured at University of Illinois Wesleyan Nov. 20-22.
Bloomington, Illinois (PRWEB) November 21, 2008 -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division III Women's Volleyball championships will be played on official surfaces provided by Connor Sport Court International at the University of Illinois-Wesleyan here November 20-22.
This will be the fifteenth year that Salt Lake-based Sport Court® has been the official surface of the NCAA® Women's Volleyball Championships.
Sport Court® will provide about 7,000 square feet of its Response™ high-performance flooring, which will be installed at Illinois-Wesleyan's Shirk Center. The university already has one Sport Court playing surface in place, the result of their purchase of a Sport Court volleyball court after the 2007 Division III championships.
In what has become a tradition, each year after the conclusion of the championship, members of the championship team will receive a piece of the competition floor.
"Sport Court continues to be the choice of the NCAA's volleyball championships, thanks to superior performance and player safety," said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of CSCI. "Sport Court's continuous development, ongoing research and safety testing has resulted in a unique playing surface that also provides easy installation and customized, vibrant colors."
In 2005, Sport Court expanded its relationship with the NCAA to include playing surfaces at the Division I Women's regional locations and Division III Women's Volleyball Championship. In addition, since 2005, the company has also been the exclusive provider of basketball courts for the NCAA® Final Four™.
More athletic events are played on Connor Sport Court surfaces than on any other sports flooring in the world. Connor hardwood floors have established themselves as the standard for professional and collegiate sports since the company was founded in 1872. Sport Court® is a registered trade mark of Connor Sport Court International. Since 1974, it has identified the original and authentic modular sport surface, continuously improved and patented to provide the highest levels of quality and performance.
